Along with the instruments for which he’s best known – the upright bass and baritone guitar – Brown’s skills cross over to turntables and beat making\, through which a lush sound emerges. The name of the project\, CASTANEA\, points to a tree that is slowly recovering from the brink of extinction in the eastern forests of North America. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSchedule\n\n\n\n6:45p Doors open6:55p Movement Lab7:15p Opening Circle7:25p DJ starts9:05p Sound Healing9:15p GoodnightTea service all evening\, included with entry. \n\n\n\nSound BATH\n\n\n\nSri Maya \n\n\n\nMovement Lab\n\n\n\nThe Movement Lab for the month of August will be led by John E Gray\, aka Professor Gray Balls\, encourager of play\, facilitator of improv arts\, and instigator of consenting connection.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis lab will focus on ways us human beings can have fun by being humans. Each week we’ll focus on a different way we can collaboratively create by getting our thinky brains out of the way and letting our subconscious drive us to playful places like Love City and Silly Town\, maybe even Togethernessberg. \n\n\n\nVocal Toning Lab  \n\n\n\nWith our vocal powers combined we create tones that align with our chakras allowing for increased oxytocin a.k.a. the “bonding hormone” helping build trust and empathy even amongst strangers. This happens in part because our brainwaves and heart rates sync through a phenomenon known as entrainment (what a cool term!). It also holds the not scientifically backed possibility of opening higher dimension timeline portals to new Earth paradise.
