Deep within the mountains\, fields & forests\, my Native Spirit awakened upon the primordial dance floor. Over the past three years\, She’s had the honor to open up for renown electronic artists such as PhuturePrimitve\, Phaeleh\, Desert Dwellers\, Random Rab\, Healyside and Kr3ture – as well creating as a series of thematic experiences at our home venue of Communitas. Playing with this frame we can practice deep listening\, sensing weight\, breath\, and impulse with our partner\, moving from our fluid\, resilient tissues\, and dancing with\, around\, and through the point of contact. Discover how attention to this simple concept can lead to connective and satisfying dancing. Jessica Damon is an independent dance artist and teacher of movement. She has been performing and making dance for 30 years (in the Bay Area\, Boulder\, Asheville\, and New York) and has devoted the last several to her love for and endless curiosity about contact improvisation. Her contact teachers include Adwoa Lemieux\, Ishmael Houston Jones\, Rene Alvarez\, Katja Mustonen\, Brad Stoller\, Frey Faust\, Antoine Ragot and her many dance partners. She has an MFA in Dance\, is an Axis Syllabus teacher candidate\, and offers therapeutic Pilates instruction in Asheville and online. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMassage Therapist\n\n\n\n$2/minute \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHelp us set up or tear down in exchange for entry. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSign-Up to Volunteer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets sometimes sell out.
