SUMMARY:CASTANEA
DESCRIPTION:Listen here: https://soundcloud.com/castaneasounds \n\n\n\nAbout Castanea\n\n\n\nUnder the alias CASTANEA\, Rising Appalachia’s David Brown takes to the stage to remix and combine acoustic and electronic sound. Along with the instruments for which he’s best known – the upright bass and baritone guitar – Brown’s skills cross over to turntables and beat making\, through which a lush sound emerges. The name of the project\, CASTANEA\, points to a tree that is slowly recovering from the brink of extinction in the eastern forests of North America. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSchedule\n\n\n\n6:45p Doors open6:55p Movement Lab7:15p Opening Circle7:25p DJ starts9:05p Sound Healing9:15p GoodnightTea service all evening\, included with entry. \n\n\n\nSound Bath\n\n\n\nLillie Lumina \n\n\n\nMovement Lab\n\n\n\nMovement Medicine; Sense – you – all Embodiment Workshop with Rhiannon \n\n\n\n“Our souls are dancing the space where our spirit and bodies meet.” – Samantha Sweetwater\, Founder of Dancing Freedom \n\n\n\nYou’re invited to engage with your unique Movement Medicine! Through utilization of sensual (sense – you – all) embodiment practices\, somatic experiential techniques\, Authentic Movement and Ecstatic Dance practices\, we will begin to create a somatic pathway to sensual flow states. These flow states offer an avenue of awareness and meditation\, allowing us to experience creative expression\, embodiment\, and healing through our unique transpersonal experience. \n\n\n\nIn this work\, we are more curious about how the movement feels\, then what the movement looks like. We begin from the recognition that the body\, the emotions\, the heart\, the mind\, and the higher self\, are all facets of the one. We dance non – duality. We co – create and collaborate with everything. Nothing is not invited and everything is welcome. All experience and all sensation is raw material for enlightenment through embodiment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMassage Therapist\n\n\n\n$2/minute \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHelp us set up or tear down in exchange for entry. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSign-Up to Volunteer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets sometimes sell out.
