About DJ Mikaya

MIKAYA (Micah Swabb) is an Ecstatic Dance DJ and facilitator for cathartic dance events. He has a deep understanding of set arrangements for drug-free dance events, yoga classes and ceremonies through his 12+ years of experience. MIKAYA’s mixes inspire meditation through movement in ways that widen the scope of one’s self-awareness and self-expression.

His mixes use a wide variety of musical genres like global bass, tropical house, techno, glitch hop, downtempo, classical and ambient. These musical journeys begin peacefully, build momentum and contrast, and then land softly with resolution and grace. MIKAYA also produces mash-ups and mini-mixes in various genres. He teaches people how to make world class ecstatic dance mixes both from his home in Asheville, NC and virtually online.

March’s movement lab will be an action packed warm up using the technology of breath, movement, and mental focus to awaken the spine, charge the system with life force and clear the mind from distractions. This lab is designed to increase vitality in a short amount of time and provide some valuable techniques that can be used everyday to enhance life. If you would like to use a cushion or mat, please bring.
