We are excited to announce that, starting April 1, 2025, Beat Church will be moving to a new space. While 49 Broadway is an aesthetically pleasing venue, it has also presented some challenges behind the scenes. The residents upstairs have been voicing concerns about the noise levels, and despite our efforts to monitor and adjust the volume and bass levels each week, the ongoing complaints have created significant stress for our team. Additionally, they are planning renovations so this is a good time to say goodbye with gratitude for the amazing dances we’ve had there.
The move to our new venue, the recently renovated Social Hall at the JCC at 236 Charlotte Street, Asheville 28801, will provide us with the opportunity to settle into a wonderful space that suits our needs for a big beautiful open space, centrally located (off of Charlotte Street), stunning hardwood floors, high ceilings, ample parking, and most importantly, it will allow us to bring the volume and bass levels up to what we always strive for.
We are thrilled for this next chapter and the chance to continue creating and sharing the joy of dance in a more suitable environment. We can’t wait to welcome you to our new space, and shake it loose!
Here are the location, parking and entry details.
Location & entry: The JCC is at the corner of Charlotte Street and Hillside. The Social Hall is on the 2nd floor. To get there you’ll enter the building at the main entrance from the parking lot (the back of the building off of Hillside), and someone will ring you in. Then you’ll head to the second floor via the elevator or stairs to find the Social Hall.
Parking: There’s limited parking in the JCC lot off of Hillside. There’s also a lot around by the JCC pool at 40 Clyde St, as well as street parking in the neighborhood. (See map – P is for parking and X is the JCC).
